On Friday, July 18, BCV joined Roger Burnell, of the development firm Arnell Enterprises, Inc., and invited guests for the grand opening of Bryant Park Plaza in Mountain View. Located downtown at the corner of Bryant and Villa Streets, the BCV-designed 20,000 square foot mixed-use office building sets the tone for the city’s distinctive modern identity. During the party, which took place on the 900 square foot public plaza, Burnell recognized BCV’s Julia Pellegrini, Hans Baldauf and Colin Alley for their work on the project.
Bryant Park Plaza features large expanses of glass, selective use of horizontal wood bands and a tower clad in honey-hued travertine to create an iconic building that is both sophisticated and welcoming. The ground floor lobby extends beyond the main mass of the structure, responding to the existing context. Three stories of ‘state-of-the-art’ business space include two open-layout floors set over a flexible ground floor that can serve either high-end retail or select service-destination offices. The building is topped out with a set-back office penthouse almost entirely encircled by tenant-dedicated rooftop patio space, featuring a private executive deck with views of the hills beyond. Bryant Park was designed to be LEED Gold-certified.
