AIA San Francisco’s annual Architecture and the City festival, held every September, will feature tours of two BCV projects this year. On September 3rd, tour-goers will get an inside look at the newly reopened Schroeder’s in the Financial District. The revitalized space includes new interior detailing, refined tables and seating for communal and private dining, new lighting, and a modern, German menu under Chef Manfred Wrembel. On September 24th, AIASF will host a joint tour of the BCV-designed Belcampo Meat Co. at Polk and Pacific, as well as Saint Frank Coffee, located nearby at Union and Polk and designed by OpenScope Studio and Amanda Loper.
Belcampo and its Grand Central Market location in downtown Los Angeles were recently honored in Bon Appetit as one of the “Hot 10 2014” locations. For San Francisco, BCV worked to create a welcoming butcher shop experience as well as a classic dining environment – both of which showcase Belcampo’s unique offerings in a variety of ways. The Polk Street shop divides the space between an airy, light-filled butcher shop and an elegant, 34-seat dining area. The 34-seat restaurant features blue banquettes made with leather from Belcampo steer. (Image: Clay McLachlan)
