Honoring the 2016 Good Food Award Winners

The 6th annual Good Food Awards took place on Friday, January 15th at Ford Mason’s Herbst Pavilion. BCV worked with Good Food Awards organizers to coordinate and plan the layout for the awards, marketplace and mercantile. The ceremony and gala honored “outstanding American food producers and the farmers who provide their ingredients,” recognizing 242 companies chosen from 1,927 entrants in the categories of beer, cider, charcuterie, cheese, chocolate, coffee, confections, pickles, preserves, spirits, oil, honey and pantry.

The ceremonies were hosted by Chez Panisse owner and food activist Alice Waters, Newman’s Own Organics founder Nell Newman and Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini. Sunday following the awards, food makers had their products on display at the Good Food Awards Marketplace.
